What is Infrastructure as Code (IaC)?

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is an approach to managing cloud infrastructure through code. It lets you automate the provisioning and management of your infrastructure resources, which helps your org achieve greater scalability, consistency, and efficiency.

Which cloud providers do you work with?

We’ve historically been an AWS consultancy, so we have tons of experience there. That said, we’re cloud agnostic when it comes to IaC delivery and will work with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. We also work with any IaC workflow, regardless of if you’re automating GitHub, DataDog, DigitalOcean, or any other API Provider.

What are your prices?

Every project is a little different, but in general you can expect our pricing to start at about $15k for an audit or workshop. For more complicated projects, our minimum project size is $80k.

What kind of customers do you work with?

We primarily work with larger companies that know they need an efficient IaC process, but don’t have the time (or energy) to do it themselves. We usually work with engineering orgs that have 50+ engineers.

I’m a nonprofit or volunteer organization. Can I get a discount?

We’re a purpose driven organization and are always happy to discuss discounts for any potential customers who are working on climate action, DEI, or similar initiatives. Be sure to reach out and we can chat through it.

What’s the deal with the name "masterpoint"?

Good question. It’s a climbing term that refers to the point where your rope or belay device connects to the anchor. It’s the critical point in the anchor system that bears all the climber’s weight, and is the thing that keeps climbers safe.

We named the company Masterpoint because we think that clean Infrastructure as Code (and code, in general) is the thing that makes it easy for a company to scale up technically, solve problems, and run efficiently, regardless of how many people are working in the business.
